"Degenerate Recordings" is an independent record label started by underground recording artist "sickNsane" in 2019

James "sickNsane" Prescott, an independent artist from Flint, Michigan, describes himself as a fan first, artist second.

He was a die-hard supporter and follower of the underground subgenre commonly called the "Wicked Shit" pioneered by underground legends such as "Esham" and the "Insane Clown Posse"

In 2005 he was introduced to a local rap group known as "D.O.L" that opened his eyes to the very real possibility of becoming a successful independent artist.

By mid 2009 he had began work on his first album "Visions & Nightmares" produced by "Mr.5-O'Clock" of "Black and White Records" featuring local artists "Str8jaket" of "Darkhouse Records", "Worm" of "Wormhole Productions" and more!

The success of this album lead to published articles in local hip-hop magazines such as "Treal Magazine" and an opening slot for headlining artist "Lil Wyte"

With success comes setback. After a hardrive crash in 2015 "sickNsane" put down the mic to focus on family.

In 2017 he began work on "BadGuy" with help from "Excessary" of "Great Lakes Records"

Upon release "sickNsane" joined "The Axe Is Family Tour" along with "Allaxulelu", "Axe Murder Boys", "M.M.M.F.D" and "Sevidemic" and took the Underground by storm leaving 35 venues in awe!
